Our mission is to provide an unforgettable Africa experience to our customers. We want our customers to feel like family and to become part of our extended Africa family.
Your Hosts
During 2019 Pumba Adventures was transferred to William and Gerda Meyer. Both our hearts are into Pumba and is it our wish to fulfill each and every one of our customers’ bucket lists. We have a passion for our beautiful nature and wish to transfer our knowledge and experience to every one of our clients.
Both Gerda and I are born South Africans, our love for our nature is long standing from discovering the Big 5 to respecting the smallest 5 animals (even mosquitoes). If it was possible we would’ve lived among the animals and stars, around a campfire…..
Together we have a vast knowledge about the wild life, fauna and flora, some astrological information, some vehicle experience, including 4X4 off-road travelling, off-grid camping and a lot of stories to tell at the camp fire. We prefer off-grid camping with the minimum equipment, although we can also offer more luxurious glamping and chalets accommodation. If need be we can arrange hotel accommodation too.

Pumba Adventures is a registered South African travelling company founded in 1998. We specialize in guided safari’s, self-drive tours, and 4x4 Training. We present tours throughout South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho and Namibia.

4 May 2025 to 13 May 2025 – Central Kalahari and Northern Botswana (including Victoria Falls)tour (CAD$4 000 per person)*
15 June 2025 to 22 June 2025 – Winelands (CAD$3 000 per person)*
24 August 2025 to 7 September 2025 – Namaqualand, West Coast and Southern Cape tour (CAD$4 000 per person)*
19 October 2025 to 26 October 2025 – Augrabies, Riemvasmaak, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park tour (CAD$5 000 per person)*
10 February 2026 to 17 February 2026 – Kruger National Park tour (CAD$5 000 per person sharing)*
Individual tours by PUMBA ADVENTURES can be arranged on request.
* Please note that the prices are not fixed yet as there are many factors playing a role in determining the prices. These are an estimate so one knows what to budget. Final prices will be given as soon as the tour is finalized.
** All dates are excluding traveling time in and out of South Africa
*** Prices does not include any airfare
**** 50% deposit of the fare is payable in advance at the initial bookings. The rest is payable on date of departure. Proof of payment will be required.
*****For the Augrabies, Kgalagadi and Kruger National Parks tours we will have to book our accomodation well in advance as these are very popular destinations.
If you should choose to join PUMBA ADVENTURES’ tours, please make sure that your, ID-, Passport- and Insurance (Travel and Medical) documents are in order.
